Kragujevac is the fourth-biggest city in Serbia, and it is located in central Serbia.

This city is proud of being first in multiple things.

And although it is not that big as Belgrade or Nis, it has a great story to tell and alot of significance in Serbian history.

Here are a few places to visit when in Kragujevac.

Amidzin Konak

The first place is more for history lovers,

Located near the center of the city,

Amidzin Konak is the least singer of Duks Milos home.

It was built between 1818 and 1822.

And today it serves as the Museum of the National Revolution.

Here you can learn about the country’s struggles for independence, local traditions,

Spomenik palim sumadincima

Located in behinde Kragujevacs pijaca,

This monument was built in 1932 as a memorial to the lost warriors of Sumadija in the serbian wars.

Zastava

Zastava was one of the most important companies in Serbia.

It was founded in 1853 under the name “Kragujevacs Gun Factory”

In the early 20s, Zastava started with the production of viachals.

With the production of Zastava 101, Zastava 1100, and Yugo cars, Zastava became well known in the US as an affordable car brand.

Fontana narodnih heroja

Located right in the center of the city,

Here are the remains of members of the Partisan movement in WW2.

Court building

Constructed in the 19th century, it is an important symbol of the establishment of modern institutions in Serbia.

Also, it played a big role in developing the judicial system in Serbia.

It is located in the center of the city and every time from December to January there is a big winter festival in front of the building.

I would totally recommend it.

Srce

Srce is a caffe and a confectionery.

It was my favorite when I was a little girl.

It always gave an elegant vibe off, I mean the interior.

If you have a sweet tooth, I personally would recommend some of the ice cream scoops.

Peron

It was once a wagon, and today it is a cafe.

I love going there because it is very cozy and aesthetic.

But not only that, they also have incredibly tasty pancakes.

Although it is relatively pricey for Serbian means, it is an interesting experience.
